How is the Alternative Causes?

There are many types of alternative causes which may raise the blood pressure. Alternative causes pay attention to functional imbalances of body organs as well as environmental pollution, toxic substances and improper eating habits. Whether a specific factor affect a person with high blood pressure(hypertension) depends on oriental diagnosis and hair mineral test evaluation.

Alternative medicine differs from the conventional medicine in many ways although it has been established based on scientic researches, because it focuses on the individually different physiologic functions. Conventional medicine, on the other hand, doesn't consider the biochemically different manifestations, which disables the conventional medicine to offer nature-oriented, non-toxic therapies .

Alternative Causes

¡ß Metabolic Syndrome

Metabolic syndrome means a pathology where the insulin level, cholesterol level, glucose levelin the blood  increases above the normal range. The patient may not represent any symptoms at all, but in a short period of time, he probably will get his blood pressure raised over the normal level. Although the reason why the pathology causes the high blood pressure is not clearly proved, but the fact itself is wide and well accepted through themedical communities.

The idea of metabolic syndrome was first established by Dr. Gerald Reaven, DM, who was a professor in the Stanford university. He maintained that the matabolic syndrome (=Syndrome X, insulin resistance) strongly leads people to come down with diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease.

Those whose parents have diabetes or hypertension, who carry heavy weights around the belly area, or who has been diagnosed to be with high cholesterol level, are at the potential risk of developing metabolic syndrome.

¡ß obesity

Obese persons are more prone to high blood pressure than normal by about three times. About three fourths of hypertensive patients are known to be obese. The correlation between obesity and hypertension is usually explained that the extra body fats force the necessity of lengthening the blood vessels, meaning more blood volume and more contraction power of the heart are required. Obesity also increases peripheral resistance in the circulation of tiny arteries and veins.

In the circumstance, weight reduction may be the primary step we take to control the blood pressure. Diminishing body fats around the belly is most likey a first sign that you will experience in the successful operations of reducing the blood pressure as well as the body weight. However, for the control of blood pressure, hard exercises like weights lifting and hard sports are not as good as you think they are, and we recommend moderate exercise like walking, light jogging or relaxation teckniques like yoga or stretching. More important, dietary modicifations are mandatory to gain best results in any circumstances.

¡ß high fat diet

¨çThere are many ways that high fat diet may play a role in the occurrence of hypertension. The fats itself tend not only to increase the body weight and blood fat volume but to provoke the insulin resistance which puts more pressures along the internal walls of arteries.

Trans fatty acids(hydrogenated oil), animal fats, margarine, shortening are examples that may harden blood vessel walls or narrow the diameter of blood vessels. Scientific research describes that these substances deteriorates arteries or trigger the arteries' aging process, which untimately results in the hypertension or other heart diseases.

¡ß sugar, caffeine

stevia

In terms of hypertension, animal fats and sugar have many things in common. Increase of body fats, raiseup of blood cholesterol level and then hardening or thickening of arteries may result from ingestion of sugars or animal fats. what is more, some patients are more sensitive to ingestion of sugars than others. Sometimes their blood pressure may go up higher than average even at a small quantity of ingestion of sugars. If this is the case, perfect restriction of sugars in their diet alone certainly help them considerably overcome the hypertension. People sometimes replace sugar with sugar substitutes like honey, saccharine, aspartame or molasses, for example, for their health. However, their actions in the body are just as same or even worse than the sugar. Note the best one that I recommend is the stevia, which is accepted in the medical community as the best substitute for sugar.

Currently there are discussions concerning whether moderate caffeine consumption significantly raises blood pressure over the long run. But it is certain that caffeine does at least temporarily affect blood pressure. Researchers describe that a cup of coffee slightly increases the value of blood pressure by about 2~3 mmHg only throughout the day. But the same research also showed that those who take the caffeine regularly everyday may almost permanently remain in an elevated blood pressure level.

Green tea or black tea may be a substitute for the coffee. Even though they include the caffeine in themselves, it has been shown that other natural ingrediants that compose the green or black tea actually neutralize the toxic caffeine. So don't drink even a little bit of coffee at all other than black or green tea. Or better yet, give it up altogether.

Another thing that I recommend will replace the caffee will be some nutrients like choline(amino acid) or cobalamine(vitamin B-12) that, when absorbed in the body, bring sensations similar to caffeine.

¡ßsalt

Excess salt (sodium chloride) in the diet causes too much sodium to be dumped into the bloodstream, which may result in increased water and blood volume.

Some persons are so sensitive to a minute amount of salt that a little bit of any salt may drive up their blood pressure dramatically. In the circumstance, it is necessary to stop taking the salt altogwther. Some health professionals recommend "nu salt" as a salt substitute, which doesn't contain the sodium chloride but rather the potassium chloride which, unlike sodium, tends tp help decrease the blood pressure. However, note that when nephritis or renal failure affect you, potassium chloride should be avoided.

There are reports that functionally separate the sea salt from table salt on the matter of the effect they have on blood pressure. Reports describe that sea salt does not necessarily drive up the blood pressure, and that most people who consume the sea salt moderately would not be affected by the salt substance on the matter of blood pressure.

¡ß micronutrients insufficiency

There are in the body valuable micro nutrients that are essential in controlling the blood pressure. Because of the nutrient depletion in soil and agricultural process using too much synthetic fertilizers and pesticides or insecticides, foods unavoidably tend to be deficient of these nutrients thesedays.

Magneesium, for example, may be one typical nutrition that most of people have become to need at the present time. Foods in the contemporary time does not contain as much an amount of magnesium as in past days. Among the countless roles that magnesium play in our body, the important one in relation to hypertension is to dilate the blood vessels and thereby normalize the blood pressure.

Antioxidants like Vitamin A, C, E, not being provided as much to meet the body needs in the contemporary diet style, also work as a scavenger to toxic substances and harmful wastes in the arteries. This means that they are able to prevent or delay the hardening or thickening process of arteries.

It has been scientifically proved that many vitamin B's such as B6, B9 and B12 remove what is called homocysteine, which causes arteries to be hardened and thickened over the long run. Some researchers believe that the homocysteine is more detrimental to arteries than cholesterol and tryglicerides.

Among minerals important  to arteries and veins, nothing exerts more valuable influences on arterial flexibility than zinc. Scientific works revealed that the shortage of zinc may cause the hardness of arteries, which absolutely provokes and causes the high blood pressure.

¡ß Cigarrettes

Cigarrette smoking causes a series of damages to arteries in the long period of time. It increases blood pressure by consticting arteries, attacks internal walls of arteries and deposits heavy metals to arterial tones. Series of researches confirm that the cadmium and lead are directly associated with high blood pressure and other heart disease.

¡ß Constipation

Few medical practitioners correlates colon problems to high blood pressure at this time nor there is a discussion over the issue in medical professionals.

In my experience, however, it is certain that colon symptoms like irritable colon syndrome have an unfavorable effect on arterial walls that may results in high blood pressure. And I am not the only one who believes that. Many medical doctors, especially doctors who prefer the natural medicine in their clinical practice, already have an affirmative opinion over the issue. Their view is that toxic substances may be absorbed through colon's walls into the bloodtream, and then the inner walls of the bloodstream may be damaged by these circulating toxins. This pathology has been accepted and proved by medical practitioners throuout the United States and they named it the "Leaky Gut", which means the colon allows the absorption of bad substances into the bloodstream.

¡ß Heavy Metal Toxicity

It is well established that heavy metals such as lead, cadmium and copper are involved in producing the high blood pressure. Their deposition into kidneys, their narrowing the small arteries of kidneys and sometimes their hurting and damaging the internal walls of arteries while circulating in the bloodstream usually confirm the hypertension.

The best way to detect the existence of heavy metals is to go through the hair mineral analysis being used in our clinic. Releasing them out of the body requires a lot of knowledge even in natural medicine and in this matter we are ahead of times and proud of ourselves. The conventional medicine, while good at surgeries and drugs, is not skillful at detoxifying these bad substances out of the body. We are proud of being able to detoxify them by natural measures. At least in Asia we believe that we stand out in the detoxification capabilities through natural measures.

¡ß Food Sensitivity

Many people sometimes are very sensitive to a number of foods. For example, some people may get headache after they get a cup of coffee. Some others may produce allergic reactions like diarrhea and stomache when they try a drink of milk. In this way, those who have sensitivities to a paticular food may develop various kinds of sensitive reactions taking the food. Food sensitivities can take many different forms according to individuals and are estimated to affect 60-70% percent of the population.

On many occasions, the high blood pressure may develop as a result of food sensitivity. Food sensitivities may cover all the whole causes that raise the blood pressure in a particluar patient but for the most part it play a partial role in bringing up the blood pressure values. In the clinical practice for high blood pressure which is caused by food sensitivity at least in part, it is almost impossible to cure the disease without identifying and eliminating the responsible foods.

Unlike food allergies, the immune system are not involved in the food sensitivity so no known clinical test has been established so far in the medical community to prove the food senstivity involvement. On this matter, we are very experienced and skillful in handling the problem for we are equipped with eastern sort of insights and inspirations as well as medical literatures which support us to work with the food sensitivity. For as far as food sensitivity is concerned, no medical equipments or devices are actually of value, whereas eastern spiritual insights which we practice in the traditional natural medicine, really work well.
